At Fabiocello, every bottle tells a story, and this one is especially close to our hearts.
When Melissa and Fabien first settled in Orange, NSW, with Eloise, their neighbours Toni and Brian quickly became part of their extended family. They were more than just the friendly face next door, they were a guiding hand and provided support through their life experiences.
The Fabiocello journey begun over two decades ago with Brian and Toni’s lemon tree and the question “we have all these lemons Fabs, what can we do with them?”. From then, Fabien and Brian started experimenting with homemade batches of limoncello, and together, they shared laughs over trial runs and enjoyed the zesty antidote for when life gives you lemons.
Together, Toni and Brian came to visit us when we were living in France, and those moments were filled with the joy of simple pleasures, good company, good conversation and more limoncello tasting. From exploring the world with his wife Toni, to enjoying the beauty of wildlife to the richness of history, Brian treasured their adventures through Europe. He was known for his larger-than-life personality, the way he made everyone feel special and brought happiness wherever he went with his radiant smile.
It feels fitting that the lemons for this bottle come from Orange, the place where it all began, where family roots and friendship grew, where Brian’s encouragement first helped shape Fabiocello.
Brian passed away in 2018 after a courageous battle with brain cancer, but his spirit continues to inspire us. To honour him, we’ve created The Briano Limoncello. With every sip, it celebrates friendship, family and the courage to keep smiling no matter what life brings.
In his memory, $5 from every bottle sold will go to The Cancer Council, supporting those fighting brain cancer today.
